2019 Representatives


Brionna Calhoun

Pre-Teen representative.

Brionna was born with two holes in her heart (AV Canal) which was repaired when she was almost 6 months old. She spent the first three months in the NICU at Children's Mercy Hospital and was released on Christmas Eve. The first year was a rough one because she had heart surgery and her her tonsils removed.  At that time is when it was discovered that Brionna had pulmonary hypertension and severe sleep apnea which resulted in her having to have a BiPAP machine at the age of one.  she is currently on a feeding tube and has been since she was born. when she goes to speech therapy Brionna works on feeding issues trying to work towards being able to eat by mouth and is making good progress. Due to low muscle tone Brionna was slow to develop in many ways. She did not hold her head until she was almost 6 months old  and she did not start walking until she was almost four years old and after that she hasn't stopped.  she's full of energy,  has a ton of Personality, she is a very social butterfly and knows no stranger. Brionna loves to fold laundry, vacuum and be her mothers assistant in their family owned beauty shop.  On most days you will see her assigning seats to each of the customers or she could be out in her lawn chair brightening up the days of any person who will allow her the privilege. Brionna is ready to take on the world.  There is no limits to what this young lady can do.


Jennifer Jennings

Jr. Teen Representative

Jennifer is 15 years old and attends Blue Valley Northwest High School, Overland Park, KS.  As a Freshman of her high school girl’s bowling team, she helped her JV team capture the Blue Valley District Championship, bowled at Regionals in Topeka, and earned her Varsity letter. Go Huskies! Jennifer is a KCAC Team Inspire cheerleader-a team comprised of those with disabilities. Jennifer also participates in many Special Olympics activities and enjoys knitting, social events, and singing. Jennifer wants to inspire those with disabilities to find their courage and inner strengths to perform their talents in front of crowds. This will help build your confidence, self-esteem, and let your true spirit shine through.


Jaiden Buckert

Teen representative

Jaiden Buckert is a 17 year old illness and disability advocate from the Kansas City area. She’s a passionate advocate for teens and young adults with critical illnesses and disabilities, however she also enjoys dancing, acting, modeling and singing, when she isn’t helping others.  Jaiden has continued pursuing her goal to give back to the illness and disability community through her nonprofit organization “Team Jaiden Foundation”. Even after relapsing, She continued to make joy packages, collect donations, and raise funding for this cause she became so passionate about. She’s completed 2,000+ hours of service, and currently holds the gold-level presidential volunteer service award and The children’s mercy legacy honor roll. Her influence on others even led her to be one of the few people in the world nominated for the we go health awards as their patient activist of the year, for 2018


Erin Bowser

Jr. Miss representative

Erin Bowser is a 22 year old Christian who believes that all things are possible with God. She is a 2015 graduate of Olathe North High School. After graduation she attended Project Search, a program that prepares young people with disabilities for success in integrated, competitive employment. She is a member of The Civitan Orchids Chapter in Kansas City, Kansas a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the lives of women with developmental disabilities.  Being developmentally disabled and having a chronic illness of her own has resulted in her passion for working with children who are disabled and who have chronic illnesses.  Being a victim of bullying, has inspired her to join an advocacy group against bullying. Erin loves animals and has volunteered at local animal shelters. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, dancing, and traveling.  Her favorite vacations are Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. Erin is excited about being Kansas first Miss Amazing Jr. Miss representative. She is looking forward to the upcoming events, especially the National Miss Amazing.  


Tami Hall

Sr. Miss representative

Tami is 29 years old from Kansas City Kansas. She is a life-long resident of Wyandotte County and loves her community. Tami is a Special Olympian and competes in Basketball, Track, softball and Bowling. Tami loves volunteering in the community as a Civitan Orchid and at a local food pantry/ womens’ empowerment organization. Tami has three nephews and one niece whom she adores and spends most of her free time with them.
